The LSU College of Engineering has some new & exciting programs to help you transition into your degree program, navigate the college maze and get you jump started in a challenging career.

Encounter Engineering (E2)
This summer camp for incoming freshmen helps you get a head start in topics for Math 1023 (College Trigonometry), Math 1550 (Calculus I), Physics 1100 & Engineering Design.

You will also learn how to manage your time and money, improve your study habits, build lasting friendships and get a general introduction to life as an LSU student. This camp will be held August 14-22, 2008. Enrollment limited to 75. You must be registered as an Engineering Major.

Engineering Residential College
The ERC offers dorm life with some extras!
Academic enhancement programs, study halls and computer areas designated for ERC students, & other activities such as Pizza Night with Industry Leaders, Engineering Council Meetings & other social events.

ENGR 1050 (Introduction to Engineering),Fall Semesters only
This 2 hour course is designed to help students learn about engineering & engineering careers.
ENGR 1050 offers an introduction into engineering design, professional ethics and the various types of engineering. Students can choose between traditional sections or ones that focus on gender and minority topics.
